Sink holes stink

The second sink hole in less than a year opened up last week, this time in Southwest Bakersfield. The first one, on the corner Oak & 19th streets swallowed four cars. I was there – it was crazy! According to KGET, “There are about 250 culverts in the city limits, all a throwback to Bakersfield’s days as a farming town” so for now “the possibility of sinkholes is something we’re just going to have to live with."

I feel much better now.
