Ho Hum...

This morning I did what I usually do. I got up, took a shower, drank a cup of tea, and read the paper to see if there was any news to blog about. Apparently nothing has happened in the past 24 hours. The main article in local section is all about the man who stabbed his wife to death in front of their kids, then killed himself. Of course, the same information was shared in yesterday’s paper – but this time it’s on the front page, so I guess that makes it different. Then there’s an article about the man shot and killed while pumping gas – also reported in the paper yesterday. The only new news is an article about a mother lashing out at the man being sentenced for molesting her children. Like it's a big shocker that she's all upset. Isn’t there any real news going on around here?

Don't get me wrong - there is one tiny bit of interesting news in the paper today. A Wasco State Prison inmate is suing the county because a police dog chewed his balls off during his arrest.
