I received another email from the person who sent me the “death threat” last Friday. She wanted to clarify that she did not technically threaten to kill me and then apologized if I felt so. She also posted a comment suggesting I post the email she sent so everyone could read it and judge for themselves. I would do that, but as you all know this is a PG blog, and the email contained FAR too many cuss words. Besides, I did quote her exactly from a couple of portions, just so y’all got the gist. So yeah, I wasn’t worried that there was REALLY a crazy woman out there about to jump out of the bushes and hack me to pieces. I just thought it was unusually harsh to wish such a violent death upon someone. Especially someone you have not seen, don’t know, and will probably never meet.
But, given the circumstances and the emotionally charged atmosphere she and her family must be going through it is sorta understandable. I’m sure there are many family members of loved ones who would not appreciate my comments about their deaths. I am sorry for that. It is insensitive. It’s just what I do. I comment on what’s going on and I try to bring some humor into it.
And hopefully not piss people off in the process.
