Taken' Off!

Men in Bakersfield are about to get a whole lot happier. According to the 2000 census, there were 120,105 men in town. We know that there are a heck of a lot more than that now. And all along we’ve only had one strip club in town. If they wanted to look at naked ladies they had to go to Déjà vu, and from what I hear, their logo, “1000s of beautiful girls, and 3 ugly ones” doesn’t apply here. Anyway, two more strip clubs are set to open soon, and both of them will be located just off Buck Owens Blvd, and visible from Hwy. 99. This would bother me, but we already have a gigantic “BOOT BARN!” visible from the freeway, so couple of strip clubs can’t be much worse.

The first club, the Teaser Pleaser, should be open in about a month and the second club, a “gentlemen’s club” called the Exotic Kitty is still in the planning stage. Let’s hope they have better luck finding pretty ladies than Déjà vu did.

I would hate for people passing through town to think all the women in Bakersfield are ugly.
