I never thought I'd say this...

I went to lunch with a couple of co-workers today. One of them suggested we go to El Taquito on North Chester because it has good, cheap Mexican food. It’s kind of a strange location; right in the heart of the Dale. On the way to the restaurant our driver took a back alley route, weaving through the neighborhoods, and past Standard Park. As we approached the park, I noticed a man playing a guitar in the park. Then, just as we passed, I saw that it was a black man playing the guitar in the park. He was playing the guitar and singing to a white woman. He was serenading her. I just saw a black man singing to a white woman in the middle of Oildale in broad day light.

Maybe things are changing in Oildale after all.
