Crawling out of the Cave

There was an article in last Friday’s paper about a flu bug that seems to be making its way through town. According to the article, the virus is of the gastrointestinal variety. I don’t know about that; my intestines seem to be fine. The rest of me, however, is a complete mess. I’ve had a nasty cold since last week and it nearly sucked the will to live right out of me this weekend. I felt like I had a burning, hot, demon in my throat that was trying to kill me every time I swallowed. As a result I spent all day Saturday watching the History channel and all day Sunday watching low budget, made for TV movies about the royal family. Obviously I was not in my right mind. I finally took Todd’s advice and bought some Cold-Eeze last night, and I do seem to be on the mend, but I’m still going to take it easy this week.
