A few minutes ago

A few minutes ago, as I walked back from the kitchen with a fresh cup of coffee, I passed Paul sitting on the couch watching CSI. “Mom,” he said to me, “If I ever disappear and there are CSI guys on the scene I want you to let them do their job!” (pointing his finger at me for emphasis.) “Don’t be one of those hysterical moms,” he continued in a hysterical voice going, "I WANT TO KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON!!! AAAHHH!!!”

After every thing that happened this past weekend, I felt confident I could assure him I would not get hysterical. His father, on the other hand, that’s another story.
