Frank Amestoy’s son, Frank, is going to keep the bar open, according to an article in the paper today. There was some worry that it would close after Frank passed, but Frank has decided oversee management of the business, which will now only be open from 4:00 to 2:00. (This doesn’t really have to do with anything, but can somebody please tell me how families where everybody has the same name do it, cuz that just seems confusing to me.)
Speaking of bars staying open, I drove past Murphy’s bar yesterday afternoon and the door was wide open and looking very much in business. I heard that it closed months ago, but I haven’t heard that it has been re-opened.
What’s up with that?
