Party On!

The latest bar review is in the paper today.  You can read a summary of it here, but the online version doesn’t have the colorful little icons that quickly tell you whether the place serves a large crowd cheap drinks, or a small group expensive cocktails.  I was surprised to only see one bar with the “Smoking” icon this time.  I was also surprised by some of the places the authors elected to review.  Dock of the Bay, a tiny new place by the freeway was in there, but The Silver Fox was not.   Considering the size of crowds I’ve seen at the Fox, I can’t figure out why they didn’t include it.

Several new bars where reviewed, and a I am embarrassed to admit that I had never heard of a couple of them. (I must be getting old.)  A new place has opened in the good old cellar bar – formally known as PJ’s Jazz and Blues Club.  *sigh* (I like that place.)  Now it’s called Club Hpnotiq. *gag*

The new place you’re most likely to find me at is The Nile.  I’ve been looking forward to seeing how it looks after the renovations.
