City leaders continue to bicker over which logo best represents Bakersfield – a squiggle, or a leaf. The proposed new sign, shown above, would use the same stone monument, can just change the logo. So, essentially, the city's welcome sign will still send a subliminal message that Bakersfield is a hole in the wall.

I’d rather have the Fun, Sun, Stay, Play sign back.
