Bake-n-Bits

A cool postcard I found. Posted by Hello

I’m learning all kinds of new stuff with this here blog. For example, I did not know that the mountain range to the west of us (which we rarely get to see) is named the Temblor Range. Huh. And…Bakersfield is the 13th largest city in California. (That must be where that gang tag “Baker13” comes from.) I also did not know that Kern County is the leading oil producing county in the continental United States and the fourth most productive agricultural county in the nation. Very interesting.

There’s more but I don’t want to over do it.

I thought the 13 in Bakers13 came from "M" being the 13th letter of the alphabet and "M" standing for Mexican and Marijuana!

I swear the M thing is true. And that is based on growing up on the Eastside. Represent.
