Route 111

Last night my friend & I decided to get out of the house and walk down to Fishlips to see if Monty Byrom was playing again. He wasn’t, but another equally good band was so we stayed and had a good time. Towards the end of the evening we were approached by three young men from the Bay Area promoting their band which is scheduled to play at Fishlips Saturday night. The name of the group is Route One Eleven and they gave me a flier, an invite to the show, a sticker and a demo CD. These guys are not messing around. In return I showed them some of the highlights of the Bakersfield night life, including the Cat, the Mint and of course, Wing Waa.
