Seat Belt Safety

The Deputy that was killed the other day was not wearing his seat belt. Hey, wait a minute.... Haven’t I been hearing all kinds of dorky ads on the radio warning us that the cops are going to start pulling us over and ticketing us for not wearing our seat belts? What gives?? Sheriff Mack Wimbish said they are supossed to but are allowed not to wear their seat belts if they need to make a quick exit. Mmmm…this guy was going to a fight in Tupman (and he wasn't even there yet) - how quick of an exit was he going to need to make?

Wimbish said encouraging seat belt use would be added to a deputy safety training program.
