You're not going to believe this

A couple of years ago Bakersfieldians woke up to a big surprise from The Californian. On the front page was the above logo and inside was page after page of lurid stories involving powerful men from both the past & present. "Powerful gay men. Vulnerable teen-age boys. Murder. Is there really a conspiracy?" We were riveted. Everybody in town spent the morning reading every word of it and the rest of week talking about it. It is now posted on bakersfield.com and it is one of the few old articles you can still access and read. (They actually expect people to register and pay 3 bucks per article. Yeah right.) If you’re bored and have a lot of time to kill I recommend having a look.

I fully expect to see it on City Confidential some day.
