What is really going on in Iraq?

I’ve been hearing good things about “The Vagina Monologues” showing at “The Empty Space” theater lately. I saw the HBO version a couple of years ago and loved it. While reading the Letters in the Local section today, I noticed a letter written about the play.

The woman said the production was good and she enjoyed the show, but she didn’t like the message printed on the program about a “large number of Iraqi women having been raped by American soldiers.” This got me thinking….

Are there really a large number of women being raped? If so why/how is it being allowed to go on? Or is that statement just an unsubstantiated exaggeration?
