Checking out the bakersfield.com blogs this morning, I noticed that someone had asked the question I had been wondering about for some time now. Why is the ridge route called The Grapevine? I found the answer interesting, but even more interesting was the reference to a website called ridgeroute.com. There are pictures of the original ridge route and information about a tour.
