I can see the relief from here.

I just love The Californian’s optimism. They have an article in the paper today that suggests “relief is in sight” for the traffic congestion in west Bakersfield. The Bakersfield Planning Commission is planing to discuss the final environmental impact report. Apparently that means the new road is practically built already.

But wait! Also included in the article was a brief history of the project, which started in the early 1970s. Don’t ya love just how quickly and efficiently we get thins done around here? Ted Wright, a city public works engineer said “the best-case scenario of when the road could be finished is six years from now.”

Yup. Relief is sight.
