I don't know if you’ve heard the big news or not, but its going to be hot today! The paper has a front page story all about it. Maybe I’m just cynical, but I hardly think saying it is going to be hot in Bakersfield is newsworthy. You’d have to be a total moron not to know it’s hot here. And that’s another thing. Its summer – it’s supposed to be hot for goodness sakes. Didn’t they teach us that in kindergarten? Besides, Bakersfield is no where near the hottest place around. It was 113° in Baghdad yesterday. If Bakersfield and Baghdad were in a fight, Baghdad would totally kick Bakersfield’s ass.

Then the U.S. would have a good reason to bomb the hell out of them.
