Welcome Baby!

We don't know if its a boy or a girl, but this is our newest baby Desert Tortoise. He's just a week old. Paul wants to name him Panzer in keeping with the whole "tank' theme. (Our first was named Tank, the second is named Sherman, and now...) I'm not too crazy about the Panzer name and suggested something more universal. Like George. That way if it turns out to be a girl we can always just switch it to Georgina. (Of course, we may have to do the same thing with Sherman.) What ever the name turns out to be, I will love it and turn it right side up until it is big enough to join Sherman in his happy little habitat.

Speaking of Sherman, this is him now. He's already about four inches across. He seems to be thriving at his new place and I go visit whenever I can.



We're all looking forward to reuniting Sherman with his little brother or sister someday so he won't be so lonesome.
