Your shaft or Mine?

According to the paper today, Kern County residents are in extreme danger!! Four people – count ‘em, One, two, three, FOUR people have died since 2002! What is this extreme danger we all need to fear? Mine shafts. Thousands of old abandoned mine shafts dot the hills of eastern Kern County and very few are marked or covered – so watch out!

That so totally ruins my plans for this weekend.
