Okay – I’ve been gone, but now I’m back and I have plenty to report. Most importantly is the closing of the world famous county disco Rockin’ Rodeo. It seems that the police decided that the nightclub's weekly wet t-shirt contests were providing adult entertainment without a permit, so they revoked the club’s cabaret permit. I find it interesting that it took them this long to figure that out. Apparently ALL of the members of the BPD are saints and NONE of them had EVER attended a wet t-shirt contest. They sent undercover agents to the club to investigate the show. (Insert sound of hand slapping forehead.) I bet they had a hard time finding officers willing to sign up for that task.
The thing I can’t figure out is what the real motivation for this sudden slap on the wrist is . Rockin’ Rodeo has been having wet t-shirt contest for ages & advertising it on the radio. It’s not like they didn’t know what was going on. Did they think these ladies were wearing BLACK t-shirts when they dosed themselves in undoubtedly very cold water? How come they suddenly said, ‘Hey! wet t-shirt contests are kinda nasty – maybe we should do something about it’?
Sounds to me like somebody’s getting’ picked on by the BPD. Again.
