There were more arrests in the Red Cross Relief call center scandal yesterday, bringing the total to 14 local residents accused of fraud. Man – that’s bad. I really hope all those charges turn out to be true and that this hasn’t turned into a witch-hunt. Either way, I feel bad for the honest people who work there.
Speaking of which, there’s in article in the paper today describing how at least some of the honest people who worked there have still not been paid. One woman described how she was fired from her job at the call center after only four days. After three weeks she had still not been paid for her time. Turns out there are a total of 14 people who have filed complaints against the company.
Looks like 14 is the magic number at the Red Cross call Center.
